Right on!

Just an aside re Rolling Stone. For me it was over in the late 70s, when they didn't even see punk coming and instead published cover after cover with Linda Ronstadt, Fletwood Mac etc.

I stopped reading it then and there, was already into NME and MM. The British music press could be sometimes pretentious and annoying, but they were not dinosaurs lost in Boomer Land. And truth be told, music this side of the pond was much better.

Definitely "over the target"!

I’m not sure if Derrick’s comment is valid as he didn’t use the word “flak” in keeping with other comments.

He hired someone to say it for him but the flack didn’t show up.

It's time to wake up! We are a very angry group of people, at this point. Quit with the BULLSHIT!

Taibbi and Greenwald are both actual Journalists (not just “so called”)reporting stories and not just sitting at home waiting for the latest government leak to forward. The assaults on their character and motivations are proof of what Ahiah Barbarian posted just above - you take flak when you are over the target.

Another Witch Hunt!

Excellent! Flak from Hacks!

I lived in Salem, MA for four years. I know one when I see one!😁

Very nice piece, and I hope Matt Taibbi sees it. As my bomber pilot uncle told me once, "You know you are over the target when the flak gets thick."

Taibbi is over the target a lot.
